ROBERTO VITTORI TALKS WITH ITALIAN STUDENTS AND PRINCESS ELETTRA MARCONI

Today 18 April 2005 at 08:46 UTC, ESA astronaut Roberto Vittori had an excellent ARISS contact with two Italian schools:

- Marconi Institute in Civitavecchia

- Malignani Institute in Palmanova.

He answered 8 questions of students from each school alternatingly.

Princess Elettra Marconi was present at the Marconi Institute and extended greetings to Vittori.

“I am Elettra Marconi, daughter of Guglielmo Marconi. With great enthousiasm I extend greetings to Roberto Vittori, who greatly honors Italy. All my admiration. I think that my father Guglielmo Marconi would have been proud of you for your marvellous mission. I feel very close to you. Thank you”.

The event was webcast by RAI, the national Italian Radio and TV service.

The streaming audio was also transmitted by EchoLink in the USA.
