ARISS CONTACT SCHEDULED WITH SLOVENIAN SCHOOL

An ARISS School Contact has been scheduled with a primary school in Selnica ob Dravi, Slovenia.

The Space talk is planned Wednesday, 26 March 2003 at 20:04 local time (19:04 UTC). The scouts clubstation S59TTT is in charge of the contact.

The schoolchildren have prepared 20 questions:

1. Do you have any difficulties sleeping due to the lack of gravity ?
2. Do any of the astronauts snore?
3. Do you miss "earthly" food?
4. Do you grow any plants or vegetables ?
5. Do you have any muscular pain or pains elsewhere if you spend a long time in space?
6. Is there a stronger likelihood of hormonal problems where there is a lack of gravity?
7. Do you use telescopes and if so can you see better compared to conditions on earth?
8. How do you celebrate your birthdays?
9. Are you sometimes so happy that you wish to sing?
10. As you are international crew, how do you communicate or exchange information with each other?
11. Do you have any idea how much oxygen you use monthly?
12. Have you ever had a bad cold and what happens if one of you becomes ill?
13. Is shaving a happy occupation or not?
14. When do you have the most beautiful time?
15. What animal would you chose to have on ISS, if this would be possible?
16. When are the most beautiful walks to space?
17. Are space walks risky?
18. Would you like to take a walk on the moon?
19. Are there any plans for ISS expanding?
20. What was the longest EVA on ISS?

Groundstations are invited to listen to the astronaut's answers on the usual downlink frequency 145.800 MHz.
