ARISS CONTACT WITH VESTAL HIGH SCHOOL, NEW YORK

Vestal school just completed a successful contact with the ISS. Various questions were answered by Dan Bursch, a graduate of Vestal HS.

"The contact went very well", Richard Crow advised. As the space station came over the horizon, Dan Bursch, answered N2SPI's call. Christine Livingstone stated "It was over our expectations to be able to speak with the ISS." The contact again lasted until the next horizon. This is the second school contact that Richard Crow participated in contacting the ISS.

There were a multitude of people at the contact from School Administration, various media (newpaper, TV and Radio), to the students themselves.

The contact was rebroadcast on a local amateur radio repeater as well as on 146.55 MHz simplex. People across the Southern Terr of New York were able to listen into the contact.
